Announcing BISON PERFORMANCE Auto Parts — More Than Just Car Parts

bison performance parts thumbnail

Bimmers.com is introducing a new brand to its catalog. BISON PERFORMANCE is an up-and-coming American-owned auto parts company that delivers OE quality parts at affordable prices. The brand currently offers suspension and steering parts for a wide range of vehicles, including a dedicated catalog for BMWs. That said, their catalog is constantly expanding and will soon include brakes as well as other components.

We’ll do a quick rundown of all products that are currently available from BISON PERFORMANCE in our store, but first, let’s talk about where this brand comes from and what it stands for.

The Origins of BISON PERFORMANCE

BISON PERFORMANCE was founded by a group of people that has decades of experience in the automotive industry. They’ve realized that “you get what you pay for” doesn’t necessarily stand true anymore, especially when it comes to auto parts. Cheap aftermarket is usually not that great, while OEM and Genuine parts often cost quite a bit more in comparison.

In other words, there are very few affordable options out there that offer any kind of long-term reliability. BISON PERFORMANCE is looking to change that by striking a perfect balance between price and performance. This company has found a way to give their customers a quality product at a decent price, while still meeting all their own goals.

Not only that, but the company is also working on bringing back the Bison to its ancient habitats. More on that a little later.

BISON PERFORMANCE Product Overview

BMWs are all about offering the ultimate driving experience, whether it comes in the form of a souped-up M3 or a 7-series luxury executive sedan. If there’s one thing that can dictate how well a car handles, it’s the suspension. BISON PERFORMANCE offers a wide range of OE quality suspension and steering components ranging from ball joints to entire control arms. Here’s a complete list of part types you can find in the current BISON PERFORMANCE catalog.

Ball Joints

Ball joints are at the core of any suspension system. That’s why it’s imperative to get quality ones when your original ball joints wear out. BISON PERFORMANCE Ball Joints are built using advanced manufacturing techniques, incorporate modern technologies, and feature quality materials. The result is a ball joint that delivers minimal amounts of friction and a solid performance across the board.

It all starts with a ball stud that is CNC machined to have the least amount of surface roughness possible. This stud is then inserted into the DuPont™ Delrin® acetal ball bearing. DuPont uses advanced polymer material that has the strength of steel, all while being incredibly flexible. When combined with a healthy amount of high-performance grease, BISON PERFORMANCE Ball Joints offer a strong connection between suspension parts, but also a buttery smooth ride.

However, none of those advanced internals stand a chance without adequate protection. That’s why BISON PERFORMANCE Ball Joints sit in a quality 5140 steel chassis, under a CR elastomer dust cover. As a whole, this combination of parts ensures durability and consistency over long periods of use.

Steering Tie Rod Assemblies

Inner and outer tie rods have a massive impact on how your car drives, how it handles and how it tracks. BISON PERFORMANCE Steering Tie Rod Assemblies are designed and built to bring stock OE performance to your Bimmer. The steering assembly is consists of two components — an inner tie rod and a tie rod end.

Both of these are made using quality materials, whether 5140 steel or 6000 series aluminum. Both the inner tie rod and the outer tie rod end feature a ball joint that uses that same DuPont™ Delrin® acetal ball bearing design and a CNC machine ball stud, only in a different configuration.

The inner tie rod forms a rock-solid connection to the steering rack on one side, while the other features a quality locking nut made of grade 10 steel. This is high tensile strength steel that meets and exceeds OE standards when it comes to quality and durability. As a result, you can rest assured that your new steering tie rod assembly will hold alignment under normal use. BISON PERFORMANCE Steering Tie Rod Assembly ensures accurate tracking and good feedback on the steering wheel.

Stabilizer Bar Links and Lateral Arms

The suspension stabilizer bar link and lateral arms are critical components of a vehicle’s suspension system. Without these parts, body roll would be an issue. BISON PERFORMANCE offers a wide range of stabilizer bar links and lateral arms made of high-quality aluminum or steel, suitable for various car makes and models.

Each stabilizer bar link model comes equipped with BISON PERFORMANCE ball joints or bushings, both manufactured with precision and care using computer-controlled injection molding and servo pressing parks. The result is exceptional durability and consistency, regardless of the application.

Similarly, BISON PERFORMANCE Lateral Arms feature the same type of ball joints or bushings as the stabilizer bar links, ensuring reliability and long-lasting performance. The lateral arms are constructed of 5140 steel or 6000 series aluminum, chosen for their resistance to wear, high tensile strength, and corrosion resistance.

For steel lateral arms, BISON PERFORMANCE applies an Electrophoretic dip coating finish, which provides an additional layer of protection without adding unnecessary weight. On the other hand, aluminum lateral arms are inherently lightweight, which translates to improved vehicle handling.

By using BISON PERFORMANCE stabilizer bar links and lateral arms, your car will regain its original equipment feel and handling, providing a more comfortable and secure driving experience.

Control Arms

Last but not least, we have the BISON PERFORMANCE Control Arms. Control arms dictate a lot of things on a car, ranging from how it handles to how well it absorbs road imperfections.

For the most part, the efficiency of a control arm depends on the quality of bushings that come with it, as well as the ball joints that it uses to connect all the key pieces of the suspension. BISON PERFORMANCE Control Arms meet and exceed OE levels of performance, giving you a factory-like ride at a fraction of the cost.

More importantly, these are rare aftermarket control arms that meet the requirements of your average BMW in terms of handling and feel. Once again, depending on the design of the control arm, it will include the advanced bushing and ball joint design that we’ve described above.

Bison Conservation Efforts

For BISON PERFORMANCE, Bison is much more than just an inspiration for branding. In fact, this company is committing 2% of its profits to a variety of Bison conservation projects around the country.

The people behind BISON PERFORMANCE understand the significance of this majestic animal, what it stands for, and how important it is to preserve the Bison population. It’s an American-owned business that cares about one of the most important symbols of modern American culture.
